I made these yesterday because they’re gorgeously chocolatey, super quick to make, give you 15 Easy Chocolate Bliss Balls and keep for ages in the fridge.

They’re also amazingly good for you – and your kids. Raw cacao powder has the highest antioxidant value of any natural food in the world. Raw cacao punches way above blueberries, red wine and green tea and in it’s raw state contains four times the antioxidant value of normal cacao. Yay for raw chocolate!

Antioxidants are vitally important because they prohibit the “oxidation” of other cells in the body. “Oxidation” is the start of damage to your cells – and can lead to ageing, disease and even cancer.

So including some raw chocolate products in your family’s diet is absolutely ok and the perfect treat.

Being that I’m now 38 weeks pregnant and have got kids home for six weeks of school holidays…(eek!) I need to make things as easy as possible.

This recipe took no time at all – and the kids will love rolling these Chocolate Bliss Balls for you.

Easy Chocolate Bliss Balls

Makes 15 Bliss Balls that will keep for ages in the fridge.

Total Time 10 mins
Course Snack

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup dried de-seeded dates
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons raw cacao powder

Instructions
 

  • Blitz all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  • Place the crumb mix in a large bowl.
  • Roll into balls and keep in a container in the fridge for up to 10 days.
